We know how important it is to be in the know about your local area when you’re a mom.
We know how time-consuming it can be to find fun places to take your kids and family-friendly events near you.
We know how much moms love to be informed and organized when it comes to parenting, home, health, and family.
We know moms need a safe space to connect with other moms and learn from each other.
That’s why we created The Bluegrass Village. Our guides, articles, and contributor pieces can help you navigate motherhood in our beautiful Bluegrass State. We love Kentucky. And we support moms.
Welcome to The Bluegrass Village.
Meet the Creator
Hey ya’ll! My name is Jennifer Crum, creator of The Bluegrass Village.
Originally a city gal from Cleveland, I am now proudly embracing the rural Kentucky life, thanks to a move for my hubby’s career. I’ve traded busy streets for country roads and I’ve fallen in love with Kentucky.
At the heart of it all, I’m the proud stay-at-home mom of four kiddos. There’s my 6-year-old rambunctious son, my 4-year-old girl who’s half princess and half tomboy, and the dynamic duo of 2-year-old twin girls who make sure there’s never a dull moment around here. My days are an enchanting blend of laughter, love, and more laundry than I ever thought possible.
Beyond the diaper changes and bedtime stories, my garden and chickens beckon. On nice days you can find me working in the garden while the kids climb trees and the family dog chases the chickens (though he’s way more bark than bite).
When the kids go to bed at night, I’ll be unwinding curled up with a good book, or getting lost in a video game world. Because every mom deserves a little escapism in her life.
I am passionate about finding ways to connect moms of the Bluegrass State. I hope this will be your one-stop-shop for all things Kentucky and parenting.
